There's nothing like a spot of retail therapy to put a smile on the face.
And Melanie Griffith certainly seemed to have enjoyed hitting the shops on in Los Angeles.
The actress showed off her trim frame as she visited the Barneys New York store, wearing high-waist black trousers which drew attention to her slender legs.

She teamed it with a black top featuring white stripes, which was embellished with a bow in the middle of the neckline.

 

Melanie’s toned body was further emphasized as she wore her blonde hair up in bun on top of her head, leaving her firm décolletage on display.
Topping her ensemble off with a pair of cat’s eyes sunglasses and a chunky heel ankle boots, her look was very Parisian chic.

As well as emerging with two retail bags from the store, she also toted her own fashionable handbag and a red folder in her hand.
After getting her car keys handed back to her from a valet service, Melanie seemed rather excited to get home and try on her new purchases.
Melanie shared a picture of her new puppies on Twitter on Wednesday, captioning the snap of the cute trio: ‘These are the puppies we got from the Amanda Foundation!’
And while she juggles her new responsibilities, the actress is also set to star in her husband's third directorial effort.

Antonio Banderas is set to helm Akil, Variety reports. 
The film follows a boy by the same name who flees police in his native Africa by boat and, upon reaching Spain, takes shelter in an American woman's home.
'This is a love story between two completely different people - in age, attitude, religion, wealth - who end up being essential to each other,' Banderas told the publication. 
The actor is fully financing the project and a production schedule has yet to be released.
